/ Ever since I was a child, I’ve been fascinated by the prospect of living in Los Angeles. It always seemed so glamorous and fun, yet so distant. Being from a small town in Upstate New York, it was difficult for me to imagine myself as someone working in the industry, let alone across the country in L.A. However, when I got to Hofstra, that all changed. 

My freshman year, I witnessed my peers completing internships, working on projects, and fulfilling their career goals—in college! Soon enough, I realized that I was just as capable as my peers to pursue my own aspirations. Through my years in college, I have learned how to seek out these opportunities. I’ve participated in student government since freshman year, joined the communications pre-professional fraternity Zeta Phi Eta, completed my first internship, and met many incredible people who have shaped my college experience into the greatest years of my life thus far. 

Now, I’m on to my newest adventure: participating in Hofstra in L.A.! I’m beyond excited to explore the opportunities that await in Los Angeles. I’ve only ever visited L.A. once a few years ago, so I’m ready to return with a fresh perspective! I’ve found my passion in working in public relations, and I’m looking forward to learning about how PR fits into the entertainment industry in Hollywood. So L.A., let’s do this! I’m ready to learn, grow, and have fun along the way. January can’t come soon enough!
